This article explains how to choose a template, create a project and add records to it. It also covers archiving and deleting projects.
Choosing a template
SiteVerity has 20 templates, and every plan includes all of them. The picker says “Every template is included.”
- On the project list, tap + to open Choose a template.
- Narrow the list if you need to:
- type in Search templates;
- use the region menu: All regions, England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland;
- use the Sectors menu: All sectors, Social housing, Local authority, Private rented, Residential sales, Property management and factoring, Commercial or Construction;
- tap a subject chip: Condition, Construction, Damp and mould, Fire, Grounds and play, Tenancy or Water.
- Tap a template to open the New project form.
The list starts at your organisation’s region and shows the templates you can use there, with any your organisation has pinned at the top. To see every template, choose All regions. If your organisation has a default sector filter, the list says so, for example “Filtered by your organisation: Social housing.”, and Clear removes it.
The organisation’s owner sets these in Settings → Templates:
- Templates for: the region the list starts at;
- Default sector filter: the sectors the list starts with;
- for each template, Shown, Pinned (at the top of the list) or Hidden (not offered for new projects).
If you’ve used your 2 free projects and don’t have a plan, creating another project opens SiteVerity Professional. See Subscriptions and restoring purchases.
The New project form
The form shows the template’s description and how many required fields you’ve filled in, for example “Required fields: 2 of 3 complete”.
- Fill in the project details.
- Add a title, or leave it blank to use the address as the title.
- Tap Create project.
The project screen
A project shows, from top to bottom:
- its photo (Add project photo), title, address and template;
- its records, named in the template’s own word, such as issues, items, snags, checks or work items;
- Floor plans, on most templates;
- Reports, with Create report;
- Export;
- the project details;
- Manage, with Archive project and Delete project.
To change the project’s details, tap Edit in the toolbar.
The Level 2 Home Survey and the SHQS Assessment show an element checklist in place of records. The Fire Door Inspection shows a door register.
Adding records
- In the records section, tap Add …. The button uses the template’s word for a record.
- Fill in the fields. They come from the template, and can include:
- a description;
- the location and element, with suggestion chips you can tap;
- ratings;
- photos;
- a pin on a floor plan;
- more fields under Additional details.
- Save the record. On most templates you can tap Save and add another instead: it keeps the location for the next record, and the next pin starts on the same plan.
Some templates also have a priority (Low, Medium or High) or a status (Open, In Progress or Complete).
To change the order of your records, tap Reorder. To delete a record, swipe it.
For photos, markup and pins, see Photos and markup.
Archiving and deleting
Archiving moves a project out of the way without deleting it.
- On the project list, swipe the project and tap Archive. You can also open the project and tap Archive project under Manage.
- The project moves to Archived projects, at the bottom of the list.
- To bring it back, open Archived projects, swipe the project and tap Unarchive.
To delete a project, open it, tap Delete project under Manage, then tap Delete project again to confirm. It’s removed from every device, and you can’t undo it in the app. If it was one of your 2 free projects, deleting it doesn’t give that free project back.
