What you record
Walk the building area by area, from the service yard to the plant room, and record each snag with its type, the trade, a priority and up to 10 photos you can mark up. Pin snags to a floor plan as you go. Update each snag's status as the contractor closes it out.
Snag lists for offices, shops, warehouses, industrial units and fit-outs, at practical completion, at the end of the defects period or on re-inspection. The trade list is written for commercial work, from groundworks and steel frame to mechanical, electrical and fire stopping.
The snag summary gives the trade, priority and status of every snag, so the report works as a close-out list. Update a snag’s status as it’s put right, and the next report shows the current status of every snag.
