A record of the adjoining owner's property before notifiable works start, so any damage from the works can be identified.

- Included in
- Every plan, and your two free projects
Who it’s for

What you record
Walk the adjoining property room by room, describing each element as you find it, with up to 10 photos you can mark up. Measure cracks as you go, recording the widest crack in millimetres and its length. The parties and the proposed works are recorded once for the whole schedule.
A schedule of the adjoining owner’s property, made before notifiable works start under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996, whether you’re the agreed surveyor or act for one owner. It describes condition and measures cracks, and doesn’t assess causes or recommend repairs.
Where cracks are recorded, the report adds a crack-width table, and an agreement page gives the building owner’s and the adjoining owner’s surveyors a place to sign.
What the report contains
- A cover with your logo and colours
- Contents, the parties and works, and a schedule summary
- Each item beside its photos, numbered and dated
- A crack-width table, where cracks are recorded
- An agreement page for both surveyors to sign
- Your name, qualifications and signature where the report is signed off
