This article covers making a PDF report, setting up your branding and signature, and sharing reports and data with your client.

Creating a report

  1. Open the project and tap Create report in the Reports section. Customise report opens. If project details or records are unfinished, it starts with “Worth adding before you create this report” and a list of them. Tap one to finish it, or carry on: you can still create the report.
  2. In the Cover strip, choose one of the 9 cover designs. Each is drawn with your project.
  3. Under Sections, turn parts of the report on or off. If you turn off the cover or the findings, you’ll be asked to confirm with Acknowledge and turn off.
  4. Under Wording, check the report’s wording.
  5. Under Signature, choose Signature line, or My signature to use your own. You can draw your signature with your finger or Apple Pencil, or tap Import a picture.
  6. Tap Create report.

SiteVerity makes the PDF on your device, even when you’re offline. When it’s ready, you’ll see how many pages it has and its size, with Share.

On an SHQS Assessment, you’ll be asked to review and sign off the results first.

Before it makes a report, SiteVerity fetches anything added on your other devices. If it can’t, for example when you’re offline, it uses what’s on this device and adds a note to say records or photos added elsewhere may be missing.

Reports that are out of date

If the project changes after you make a report, the report shows Out of date in the Reports section. Open it to see what changed since it was made, then tap Regenerate to make a new one. The old report stays in the project, and a share link always shares the report as it was made.

Your logo and colours

The organisation’s owner sets the branding in Settings → Report branding.

  1. Tap Choose logo to add your logo. Later you can Replace logo or Remove logo.
  2. Set your primary and accent colours with the colour picker, a hex code or a swatch. SiteVerity warns you if a colour doesn’t have enough contrast.

Your logo appears on the report cover. The colours are used for headings, tables and pins. Branding applies to reports from your free projects too.

Of your organisation’s details, only its name prints on reports. Reports from free projects also carry a small “Generated by SiteVerity” footer.

Sharing the PDF

  1. In the Reports section, tap a saved report.
  2. Tap Share, then Share PDF.
  3. Choose how to send or save it from the share sheet.

The app explains it like this: “Anyone with the link can download the PDF until it expires or runs out of downloads. They don’t need a SiteVerity account.”

  1. Tap a saved report, then Share, then Create share link….
  2. Choose when the link expires: 1 day, 7 days or 30 days. It’s 7 days unless you change it.
  3. Choose a download limit: 10, 50 or no limit. It’s 50 unless you change it.
  4. Tap Create share link.
  5. Tap Copy link to paste it into a message, or Share link to send it from the share sheet.

The same screen lists your “Open links for this report”.

A link stops working when it expires or reaches its download limit. Anyone with the link can download the report until then, so only send it to people who should have it.

To stop a link sooner, open the report’s share screen, tap Stop sharing on the link under “Open links for this report”, then confirm. The link no longer downloads the report. Copies already downloaded aren’t affected.

If you’re offline, the app sends the request when you’re back online with the app open. Until then, the link may still work.

Share links need a connection, and the report must have finished uploading. Reports over 25 MB stay on your device and don’t upload, so send those with Share PDF.

Deleting a report removes it from the project for everyone in your organisation. Its share links stop working once the deletion has synced. Copies already downloaded aren’t affected.

Exporting a CSV

In the project’s Export section, you can export a CSV file with one row per record, or one row per door on a fire door inspection. It’s set up to open cleanly in Excel, and you send or save it from the share sheet. CSV export works even without a plan.
